Trends come and go, that's for sure. Although I will indulge in a trend or two, I prefer to maintain a wardrobe with certain pieces that will last forever. This year is a true combination of trendy and forever pieces. From cozy knits to kilts, these are my fav looks for fall 2021.
Cozy Matching Knits
This matching set is from Winners and cost about $70 for both pieces. I dressed it up a bit (and covered up a bad hair day) using a silk hair turban. What's great is that they make the perfect outfit when paired together but also, can be worn independently too!
Kilts
I picked up this vintage kilt at my local vintage shop (Grandmas Basement). I love a kilt look because it's both comfortable and warm PLUS, its a genderless look that anyone can rock!
A Beret
A beret can make almost any outfit look chic. This year I have been rocking my beret more than usual and I get compliments everywhere.
A Shacket
Yes, I am aware that this is a trend but I truly believe I'll be wearing these for years to come. A shacket is basically a hybrid between an oversized shirt and jacket. It's perfect for those not too cold/not too hot fall days. This one is from H&M and was very similar to the ones I saw at Aritzia but for 1/3 of the price.
Denim Dress There's so many ways to style a denim dress. You can wear it with a shirt underneath, tights, with sneakers, high boots, the list can go on and on.
Cozy Loungewear
I basically live in loungewear these days because I work from home half of the time. Comfy and cozy is key as the winter starts to turn.
