5 Wellness Essentials to Get You Through The Week

Fall is here, friends! It's officially 'Basic Bitch' season with pumpkin spice everything, cozy knit sweaters and cool crisp air. Sometimes though, the abrupt change in weather can also be the start of cold and flu season. BUT, with a few preventative measures, including these 5 wellness essentials, you will be sure to make it through the week!

#1. Staying Hydrated. This seems like a no brainer but it can be challenging to get a healthy amount of water when it starts to get colder outside. People tend to go for warmer beverages, like tea and coffee and forget to drink good ol' fashioned water. My trick is having my reusable water bottle OR a fruit infuser water bottle with me at all times. I am obsessed with both of them. It makes it easier to stay hydrated on the go. I put the reusable water bottle in my purse and keep my fruit infuser at work to make sure I have all of my basis covered.

#2. CBD. There are so many ways to ingest CBD these days. From oils to tea, it's up to you how you want to take it. It's great for stress, anxiety, or even insomnia. I have been using the Vessel Luxury Vape Pen and I'm telling you, it's all it's hyped up to be. It's sleek, stylish and incredibly discreet. Whatever way you like to take your CBD, let it help take all of your worries away!

#3. Music. Spending more time indoors means finding something other than watching copious amounts of tv entertain yourself. I purchased a record player last year and bought my fav albums to go along with it. As soon as I get home from work, I put on an album and listen to it from cover to cover. I love the oldies and have been getting really into blues music lately. I find it extremely relaxing and try to do some cleaning while I'm listening. I feel productive and relaxed all at the same time.

#4. Naps. Doc's recommend 6 - 8 hours of sleep every night but let's face it, sometimes that doesn't happen. That's why naps are key. Even just a quick 20 minute cat nap can make you feel rejuvenated and help you get the most out of your day/night. Don't feel guilty for recharging your batteries quickly before a night out, your mind and body will thank you later!

#5. Shopping Sustainably. Buying local is key and it's fall harvest, ya'll! Eat fruits and veggies that are in season and being harvested locally. Buying produce that was grown in the same province or state is putting money back into your local economy, reduces emissions and is really fun too!.
